How to build your price list
Add what you sell with its price and unit, start from the usual services for your kind of business, and change any entry later.

Your price list is what you pick from when you add a line to a quote, a job or an invoice. Open it from Quotes → Price list, or under Invoices if your business sends no quotes. Changing it is for the Owner, an admin, or a position that can manage the business.
Start from the usual services
A business you already run starts with an empty price list. For most kinds of business, the empty list shows The usual services for your kind of business, with a suggested price for each. Press Add the usual services to put them all on your list. Nothing is added until you press it.
The prices are US starting points. Once added, they are ordinary entries: change the name, price or unit of any of them, or delete what you don't offer. The offer is shown only while the price list is empty, so pressing it again adds nothing twice. It is offered only to a business that bills in US dollars; in any other currency, add your own entries.
What each kind of business is offered:

An Online store sells its products from its store, a Non-profit is given to rather than paid, and Something else could be anything, so those start with no usual set. A business started with Start a new business with Otto opens with a price list made for that idea instead; see How to start a new business with Otto.
Add your own entries
- Type the name in the box at the foot of the list, e.g. "Gutter cleaning", and its Price.
- Press the unit it is priced per, e.g. hour or visit.
- Press Add.
Under the list, Typical services to add offers names to tap; type a price for each to add it. Suggest from what Otto knows reads what you wrote under Knowledge and on your website and suggests names; you type every price.
If it doesn't work
- You don't see The usual services for: your price list already has something on it, or your kind of business has no usual set. Add entries by hand.
- "Your price list already has services on it, so the usual ones were not added." Something was added since the page opened. Reload to see it.
- "Only an owner or admin can do that.", or the list has no boxes to add or change entries: your position cannot change the price list. Ask the Owner.
