How to add a partner program and follow your tier

Keep the dealer programs you belong to in one place, see how close you are to the next tier, and find new programs.

Updated 2026-10-17

Partner programs keeps the rebates, SPIFFs, MDF and deal registrations you get from the brands and distributors you sell, such as a Sonos Pro Dealer program or a distributor like ADI. It is under Operations → Partner programs. Anyone who can open it sees your programs; adding or changing one needs someone who manages the business.

Add a program

  1. Open Partner programs. On the Programs tab, press Add program.
  2. Fill in Brand or distributor and choose the Kind: Manufacturer, Distributor or Platform.
  3. Add what you know: Level or tier (for example "Gold"), Dealer number, Rep and Rep email, Portal address, Joined and Renews.
  4. Set the Claim window in days. It starts at 90 and decides the Claim by date on every claim.
  5. To follow your tier, fill in Next tier at (the amount you must buy this year) and list any Distributors that count toward the tier.
  6. Press Save.

Tier progress

Otto adds up this calendar year's expenses whose vendor is the brand or one of the listed distributors, and shows it against Next tier at. With no threshold, or no matching expense yet, it shows "—" and "No purchases from this brand recorded in Expenses yet", never a zero. Record your purchases in Finances to keep it current.

Find programs

  1. Open the Find programs tab.
  2. Under Brands you sell or install, press the brands you carry, or type Another brand and press Add.
  3. Press Find programs. Otto reads the brands' public pages for a few minutes.
  4. Each result shows Who qualifies, Benefits, Requirements and How to apply, each with its source. Press Add to keep it, or Draft the application for answers you paste into the application yourself, then Open the application page.

Otto never logs in to a partner portal or applies for you.

Good to know

  • Money figures are hidden from positions that do not see money; they read "Money is not shown to your position".
  • A business can keep 200 programs. Program searches share the monthly research allowance.

If it doesn't work

  • "Keep passwords in a password manager, not here." — a field looked like a password. Otto never stores portal passwords.
  • "Say which brand or distributor the program is with." — fill in Brand or distributor.
  • "That rep email does not look like an email address." / "A portal address must start with http:// or https://."
  • "This program has claims. Delete those first, so no record of money owed goes with it."
  • "That search found no program with a source Otto could show." — try different brands.
