How to pack orders and take sold items off Stock

Store → Packing prints a pick list and packing slips, and can take each sold item off Stock once.

Updated 2026-10-25

The Packing tab works from your open orders: the ones waiting to ship from every connected channel.

Where

Store → Packing.

Print a pick list and packing slips

  1. Open Store → Packing. The Pick list adds up everything in your open orders by product, with its SKU, where it is in Stock and which orders want it.
  2. Press Print pick list for the shelf, or Print packing slips for one slip per order.
  3. A slip shows your business name, the order number and date, the customer's name, the town, region and country Otto has for the order, and what is in the parcel. It shows no prices, so it can go in with a gift. When your returns page is on, the slip prints its address.

If nothing opens, your browser blocked the print window: allow pop-ups for this site and press the button again.

Take sold items off Stock

  1. Make sure each product in Stock has the same SKU as in your store.
  2. Under Take sold items off Stock, switch it on. Only someone who manages the business can.
  3. From then on, each new order takes its items off Stock once, when Otto next reads your orders. Orders placed before you switched it on are never taken off.
  4. For each channel, choose where its orders ship from: one of your stock locations, your default location, or Not from your stock when a warehouse company ships them.

Good to know

  • A kit (a bundle) takes its parts off instead of itself. Set a kit's parts and quantities once and selling one kit takes every part off.
  • A cancelled order puts its items back with a second row in Stock's history; nothing is edited.
  • With an Amazon store connected, orders that Amazon ships for you (FBA) never come off your own stock.
  • Recently taken off lists the last orders, and names any line whose SKU matched no Stock item, so nothing came off for it.
  • Otto does not change the stock numbers in your connected channels. Your connected Shopify, eBay and Etsy stores keep their own counts.

If it doesn't work

  • "Stock is switched off for this business. Switch it on under Settings first." Switch on Stock under Settings, then come back.
  • A line shows no Stock item for a product: give that Stock item the same SKU as in your store.
