How to collect product reviews
Open an order and press Ask for a review. The email waits in Reviews for approval, and a review is shown only once you publish it.

Otto asks a customer about the products in one order, collects their stars and words, and shows the ones you publish on your customer help page.
Where
Store → Orders to ask, and Store → Product reviews to read and publish.
Steps
- Open an order and press Ask for a review. Only someone who manages the business can.
- The email waits in Reviews (the list of things waiting for approval). Read it, change the words if you like, and approve it.
- Once approved, the email goes from your connected mailbox with a link. The customer gives each product 1 to 5 stars and a few words, and chooses the name shown with it.
- Open Store → Product reviews and press Publish on the ones to show, or Hide to take one down.
Good to know
- Each order is asked once, and its link works once, for 60 days after it was sent.
- A buyer from a marketplace that does not allow emailing its buyers is not asked; the button says why.
- A customer who unsubscribed or whose address bounced is not asked.
- A review's words are never changed. Published reviews show under What customers say on your customer help page (Store → Returns), when that page is switched on. To show them on your Otto website too, add the Customer reviews (from Otto) section to a page; it stays current without publishing again.
If it doesn't work
- "This order was already asked for a review." Each order is asked once.
- "This order has no email address." There is no address to ask.
- "No mailbox is connected, so this could not be sent." Connect a mailbox, then approve again.
