How to give customers an arrival window instead of an exact time
Settings → Rules → Arrival window. Customers are told "between 9:00 and 11:00"; each job keeps its exact start time.

If your crews cannot promise the minute they arrive, give customers a window instead. With a 2-hour window, a job that starts at 9:00 is told to the customer as "between 9:00 and 11:00". Only an owner or admin can change it. It is part of Jobs, so Jobs must be switched on.
Where
Settings → Rules → Arrival window, below Reminders.
Steps
- Under Arrival window, pick 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours or 4 hours.
- To go back to exact times, pick Off: the exact time.
The window starts at the job's time and runs for the hours you picked.
Where customers see it
- The booking confirmation email.
- The online booking page: under What time? a line says each time is the start of the window, and the booking's own page, its cancel page and its move page say "Arriving between 9:00 and 11:00".
- Reminders before a visit.
- The email drafted when you use Move a day.
- Coming up in the customer portal.
Good to know
- Each job keeps its exact start time on your calendar, the job sheet and your team's day.
- The calendar file a customer downloads from their booking page holds the exact start time.
- A reminder written with your own template shows the window wherever the template uses the time.
- Visits already done in the customer portal show their real times.
