How to ask customers to rate a visit
On a finished job, press Ask for a rating. The customer picks 1 to 5 stars from a link, and Jobs → Ratings shows each person's average.
Updated 2026-10-25
See how each visit went and how each cleaner, crew or detailer is doing, e.g. Sam at 4.5 stars over 12 visits. Only an owner or admin can ask for ratings and see them.
Where
Open a finished job on Jobs and press Ask for a rating. See the results under Jobs → Ratings.
Steps
- Mark the job Done.
- Press Ask for a rating. An email to the customer waits in Reviews, e.g. "How was your visit, Lawn mowing with Sam? It takes one click to rate it from 1 to 5 stars", with a private link.
- Approve the email in Reviews. The link works only once the email is approved.
What happens next
- The customer opens the link, picks from 1 to 5 stars, can add a few words, and presses Send my rating. They can rate once; the link then shows the rating they gave.
- A note is added to the customer, e.g. "Rated Lawn mowing 4 out of 5 (Sam)."
- Ratings shows each person's average and how many visits were rated, best first, then the latest ratings with what the customer wrote. The person rated is whoever was on the job when you asked.
If it doesn't work
- "Mark the job done before asking for a rating." Finish the job first.
- "A rating has already been asked for on this job." Each job is rated once.
- "This customer has no email address." Add one under Contacts, then press Ask for a rating again.
- The customer's link says Not found: the email has not been approved in Reviews yet.
