A speed-to-lead check measures how long a prospect takes to answer a new inquiry, so you can quote the result in your first email. It is for agency businesses. Otto records the times; it never contacts the prospect.
Where
Contacts, open the prospect, then Speed-to-lead check on their card.
Steps
- Send the prospect an inquiry yourself, e.g. through their website form.
- Press Start a speed test. Choose Sent through, check Sent at, and set Days to wait (3 unless you change it). Press Record.
- When they reply, press Replied now, or pick the time they replied and press They replied then.
What happens next
The card shows the result, e.g. "Answered in 9 hours 12 minutes". With no reply recorded once the days to wait have passed, it shows "No reply after 3 days". Until then it shows how long ago the inquiry was sent.
With a result there is a sentence ready to quote, e.g. "When I sent an inquiry through their website form on October 20, it took 9 hours 12 minutes to hear back." Press Copy sentence.
Good to know
- Clear reply undoes a reply recorded by mistake. Delete removes the test.
- Up to 20 tests per contact.
If it doesn't work
- "The reply cannot come before the inquiry was sent." Check both times.
- "When it was sent cannot be in the future."
