How to track services, import Turo earnings and see what each vehicle made
Get a job when an oil change or inspection falls due by mileage or date, bring in your Turo earnings, and see utilisation, average daily rate and profit per vehicle.

Fleet keeps each vehicle's services due by mileage and date, and works out what each vehicle made in a month: from your own rentals, and from Turo trips when you import Turo's earnings file.
Add a service to a vehicle
- Open Fleet and press the vehicle.
- Under Services, type the service's name, such as Oil change.
- Type every how many miles, every how many months, or both.
- Press Add service.
Add service stays grayed out until there is a name and at least miles or months. A new service counts from the vehicle's mileage today and from today's date. With both miles and months, it falls due at whichever comes first.
See what is due
The Maintenance tab lists every service, the ones due first.

- Due by mileage or Due by date, in red: it is time.
- Soon, in amber: within 500 miles or 30 days.
- OK, in green: each row says the mileage or date it is next due.
Press Make jobs for what is due to make a job for each due service, called (service) — (vehicle). Otto also makes these jobs on its own when a service falls due, as long as Jobs is switched on. A service never gets a second job while its first is still open, and the row says job made.
When the work is done, press Done. The service counts again from the vehicle's mileage today and today's date, and its job is marked done. Marking the job done in Jobs does the same the next time Otto checks.
Services on a retired vehicle are not listed.
Import your Turo earnings
Trips you take through Turo come in from Turo's earnings file. Once imported and matched to one of your vehicles, they count in the figures below and hold their dates on the calendar, so you cannot book the same vehicle over a Turo trip.
- On turo.com, open Earnings and press the download button under your total.
- In Otto, open Fleet, then the Money tab, and press Import Turo earnings.
- Choose the file and press Preview.
- The first time, pick which of the file's columns is the Trip start, and if they are there, the Trip end, Vehicle, Earnings and Trip ID. Only the trip start is needed; choose Not in this file for the others. Press Preview again.
- Otto says how many trips it read. For each vehicle name in the file, pick which of your vehicles it is.
- Press Import.
Import stays grayed out until you have previewed the file. Otto remembers the columns and the vehicle names, so the next file needs only Preview and Import. Importing the same file again does not count any trip twice.
An earnings amount Otto cannot read is left empty and said under the preview, never guessed. A row whose start date cannot be read is left out, and said.
See what each vehicle made
The Money tab shows the month you pick, the Profit across your vehicles, and a row for each vehicle.

- Revenue is what each rental came to, with the charges added at return, and the earnings of each Turo trip. A rental or trip that runs into the next month is split between the two months by its days.
- Days rented is the days the vehicle was booked out of the days in the month, counting rentals that are confirmed, out, returned or closed, and Turo trips.
- Utilisation is the days rented as a share of the days in the month.
- Avg daily rate is the revenue divided by the days rented.
- Costs are the costs recorded on the cleaning and service jobs Otto made for the vehicle that month.
- Profit is the revenue less the costs.
A figure Otto cannot know shows as "—", never as 0. A profit marked * has something not known yet, such as a job with no costs recorded on it or a Turo trip whose earnings could not be read: it counts only what is on record. Hold the pointer over the profit to see what is missing.
The Money tab only shows to positions that see money figures.
If it doesn't work
- "Name the service: oil, tires, inspection…"
- "Say every how many miles, every how many months, or both."
- "That file is empty." or "That file is larger than an earnings export should be." — download the earnings file again from Turo.
- "Choose the column that holds the trip's start date." — pick the Trip start column.
- "This file has no column “…”. Choose the columns again." — Turo's file has changed; pick the columns again.
- "… Turo trips are not matched to a vehicle yet. Import the file again to match them." — import the same file and pick a vehicle for each name.
